Application for Reitz Union Board of Managers, O'Connell Center Advisory Board, and Recreational Sports Board

Interested in serving as a student member on one of the following boards:  Reitz Union Board of Managers, Recreational Sports Board, or O’Connell Center Advisory Board?  These committees are made up of faculty, staff, and students and the staff from those areas.  These boards serve as the board of directors for their respective areas on campus and make policy decisions.

Research the board and what they do. Many of them have committees to serve on within the general board.

The boards :

    1. Reitz Union Board of Managers:  http://www.union.ufl.edu/information/managers/
    2. Recreational Sports Board: http://www.recsports.ufl.edu/bod.aspx
    3. O’Connell Center Advisory Board: http://www.oconnellcenter.ufl.edu/policies/thepolicies/policy_advisory_board.aspx

Each board may have its own minimum requirements beyond the basics, such as a minimum GPA (e.g., Reitz Union Board of Managers requires at least a 2.5 GPA).  Also some of the boards have one-year terms and two-year terms.  You may be asked your preference in an interview.

Be sure to fill out the common application by the deadline of Friday, April 3 and turn it in to 155 Tigert Hall and include a resume.  You must prepare a separate application for each board you wish to apply for.

Each board will invite the applicants selected for an individual interview in early April.
