James E. Scott Professional Development Fellowship Application Now Available

Dr. James E. Scott was Vice President for Student Affairs from 1999 – 2003 and Dean of Students from 1981 – 1993.  Dr. Scott valued and promoted staff and professional development opportunities for his colleagues.  In honor and memory of his legacy, two annual $2,000 fellowships in his name have been established.

To be considered for a fellowship, an applicant must be a full-time administrative staff member in the Division of Student Affairs who has completed a minimum of 2 years of full-time employment at UF.  Two fellowships will be granted annually in support of advanced training and/or enhanced professional development that would relate to Student Affairs. Recipients will be expected to use the information and skills gathered to provide workshops, colloquia, or presentations to UF staff and students in the year following the experience.  The Fellowship award must be used for professional development during between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.

Return the application to the Vice President for Student Affairs office by 4:30 p.m. on June 29, 2012.
