- Brandon White
Brandon White is a third year finance major from Panama City Florida. From the moment he first stepped unto campus Brandon made his presence known. Brandon represents the College of Business as a Student Senator; he has also served on the executive board of the Black Student Union, as a resident assistant and as an IDEAL ambassador. Brandon is among the first group of Florida Opportunity Scholars, and he has offered his time and talents to this program in a variety of ways. In addition to acting as a spokesperson for the program, Brandon is an FOS mentor, helping other students in their transition to college. Brandon’s service to others extends beyond UF and into the wider Gainesville community. He volunteers his time at the Boys and Girls Club and at a local high school, serving as a mentor and an example to others in our community. This summer Brandon was one of 24 students from across the country selected to intern at the Institute for Responsible Citizenship in Washington D.C. Brandon has amassed an outstanding resume. But what most impresses me about Brandon is his character. Brandon is a very mature young man of great integrity who always has a positive outlook and a personality which puts others at ease.

Ryan Moseley
Ryan Moseley is a graduate student in the Master of Arts in International Business Program. He began his involvement at the University of Florida as a Student Senator where he held the position of Chairman of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee. He has also served as President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and was the 2006-2007 Student Body Treasurer. He is currently the Student Body President. He was elected to chair the Florida Student Association and in that position he also serves on the Board of Governors. He wears many hats currently and does a very good job of balancing all this plates. In his role of Student Body President he has worked tirelessly to create an atmosphere of open communication and provide students tangible results. One of the most important tangible results was his role in supporting the differential tuition for the University of Florida. This effort will allow the University to hire more faculty and advisors for the undergraduates in the coming years. He understands the importance of a quality education for our students in spite of the fact that it might cost more. Another example was his tireless effort to handle the A&S budget in a fair and efficient manner. He included others in his deliberations and was willing to learn and listen to new ideas. He was not afraid to make tough decisions. It is not about him, it is about doing what is right for the greater good. Such maturity is rare in someone his age.
