Outstanding Service Award

 

The John M. “Jack” Kinzer Award for Outstanding Service to UF is given annually to a UF student who exemplifies the characteristics that Mr. Kinzer modeled: leadership and service to the UF community with a commitment to excellence, dedication and integrity.

Mr. Kinzer is a graduate of UF and a member of the UF Hall of Fame.  He served his country in WWII and rose to the rank of Brigadier General.
Upon his retirement from the U.S. Army, he returned to UF to begin a second career.  After earning a masters degree in Higher Education Administration, he served as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs until his retirement.
