The GAP Reading Group

APIA Resource Room Multicultural & Diversity Affairs, Asian Pacific Islander American Affairs (APIA)
Description:
The GAP (Gaining Awareness and Personal Growth) is a safe and judgment-free space where APIA community members from all stages of their college career will be able to meet and discuss the different concerns that we, as a community face. Together we will work on increasing self-awareness and personal growth through support and empowerment in real-life discussions. The "GAP” also refers to the gap in understanding we have based on the differences between our parents’ experiences and ours (a generation gap, of sorts), and to the gap in society’s awareness and understanding of the APIA community.
The GAP is a reading group revolving around reflections on a shared article that meets bi-weekly on Wednesdays from 12:50pm-1:40pm in the APIA Room, 4th floor Peabody Hall. Snacks will be provided.
