The Division of Student Affairs is made up of hundreds of employees in seven departments. In addition to the work done in each department, members of the division volunteer their time to advance efforts beyond their primary duties. We depend greatly on the efforts of willing volunteers to build some of our division-wide initiatives (e.g., staff development, assessment, strategic planning, and alcohol education). Committee service is valuable to the division and individual staff development. Some of the work we do in the Division is not possible without the insight from our friends across the Division and throughout the University.
All staff members in the Division are welcomed and encouraged to participate on a committee. Committee service increases our ability to collaborate and communicate across the Division. Those who serve on committees:
- meet other employees at the Division,
- learn new skills, and
- help advance the goals and objectives of the Division.
We are forever grateful to staff members who take on additional duties, beyond their day-to-day assignments, to help the Division solve complex problems or complete cross-functional tasks. We hope you join us in the future on one of the listed committees.
