Jeanna Mastrodicasa

Dr. Jeanna Mastrodicasa came to the University of Florida in 1997 as an academic and pre-law advisor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.  She became Assistant Dean of Students in 1999, directing the Preview orientation program and serving as the first UF liaison to the LGBT community.  In late 2000, she began a nearly seven-year stint as the Associate Director of the Honors Program at UF, where she directed the campus undergraduate research program University Scholars, advised student Fulbright grant applicants, and managed several duties including admissions, orientation, and advising efforts within the Honors Program.  Her experience in both student affairs and academic affairs prepared her to continue the collaboration between both divisions in this role.

Dr. Mastrodicasa earned a Ph.D. from the University of Florida in higher education administration, an M.S. in college student personnel from the University of Tennessee, and an ABJ in public relations and a J.D. in law from the University of Georgia.  She is currently involved in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) as a regional knowledge community coordinator for the southeast and frequently presents on issues related to millennial college students and their use of technology.  She is the co-author of the book published by NASPA in 2007:  “Connecting to the Net. Generation:  What Higher Education Professionals Need to Know about Today’s Students.”
