Dave Kratzer
Associate Vice-President, Student Affairs
Dave Kratzer is the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. His responsibilities include managing the resources of the Division of Student Affairs, financial planning, and budget oversight for the operational areas and related fee-supported activities that exceed $55 million annually. Mr. Kratzer coordinates the Division’s continuity of operations planning, emergency preparedness, and annual budget preparation. He serves as the Student Affairs Division’s liaison with the Division of Human Resources, Facility Planning, Division of Finance and Accounting, UF Budget Office, the UF Office of Audit and Compliance Review, and the University Investment Committee.
Dave Kratzer came to the University of Florida in 1986 as the Director of the J. Wayne Reitz Union after serving in similar positions at Murray State University and the University of Evansville. Mr. Kratzer holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Illinois University. He has served as President of the Board of Directors for the Southern Association of College Auxiliary Services, Member of the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Educational Programming in Higher Education, and Member of the Board for the National Association for Campus Activities. Mr. Kratzer was awarded the University of Florida President’s Humanitarian Award in 2004 and the Leadership Gainesville Alumni Leader of the Year Award in 2003.
