Dr. Heather White is Director of the Career Resource Center. Heather White served as Interim Director of UF’s Career Resource Center since March 2011 and was named Director in December 2011. She previously served in various roles in the Career Resource Center for eight years and worked in Housing and Residence Life at Valdosta State University and Jacksonville University four years prior to coming to UF. She completed her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, Master’s degree in Counselor Education, and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In her role as Director of the Career Resource Center, Heather leads 24 full-time professionals and provides management and oversight for a centralized center serving approximately 50,000 students.

Heather serves as a Directorate member for the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Commission for Career Development and is active in the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) organization. She received a Leadership Award for her service to ACPA’s Commission of Career Development in 2011. She has delivered numerous presentations at local, regional and national conferences. Heather also enjoys research and assessment and has been able to utilize this interest to study the career needs of first-generation college students. She and her colleagues were awarded the Division of Student Affairs James E. Scott Fellowship and Outstanding Research/Assessment Project Award for their work to learn more about this particular population.
